TOWER BRIDGE

Tower Bridge is a combined bascule and suspension bridge in London. The bridge crosses the River Thames close to the Tower of London and has become an iconic symbol of London. The bridge opens about 500 times a year.
The construction of the bridge began in 1886 and lasted eight years. Were employed 432 construction workers. Approximately 11,000 tones of steel were used. The total cost of construction was £1,184,000.The bridge was officially opened on 30 June 1894 by The Prince of Wales.
27th july 2012 the Olympics were hold in London.
The ceremony began at 21:00 and lasted almost four hours. It was watched by an estimated worldwide television audience of 900 million.
All costs have been met from the £32 million Look and Celebration budget, which will be used to back free cultural events across London.
MADAME TUSSAUDS
Is a wax museum in London with branches in a number of major cities. Madame Tussauds is a major tourist attraction in London, displaying famous waxworks.
Marie Tussaud was born as Marie Grosholtz in 1761 in Strasbourg, France. Her mother worked as a housekeeper for Dr. Philippe Curtius in Bern, Switzerland, who was a physician skilled in wax modelling. Curtius taught Tussaud the art of wax modelling.
